We are pleased to announce, that we are now accredited providers of the Emergency First Aid at Work + Forestry (EFAW+F) course.

This course will enable those who work outdoors, especially within Forestry or Plantation Management sectors, to gain the necessary skills to provide first aid treatment to casualties in remote environments where assistance from the emergency services might not be immediately available. This course complies with the Forestry Commision’s First Aid Policy and the current HSE Guidelines for emergency first aid procedures within these industries.

The HSE has made recent updates to 2 publications on first aid at work:

• First aid at work: Guidance on regulations

  This publication sets out your responsibility to address first aid provision in the workplace. The updates include emphasising the employers responsibility to take account of employee mental health in their first aid needs assessment.

• Selecting a first aid training provider: A guide for employers

  This guidance helps you identify and select a competent provider to deliver first aid training. The updates include simplified guidance on what employers should consider when selecting a training provider.

The updates do not change what is required to comply with the law.
